Since the last time we checked Android’s stats for its operating systems, Gingerbread‘s 2.3.x versions lead the pack in terms of user base share. Apparently, today not anymore as Android Dashboard reveals data to surpass the existing 33-percent market share resistance of its older versions. Android 4.1(Jelly Bean) now represents 34-percent of active devices.
Ultimately, when all Jelly Bean versions are consolidated it will make up a total of 40.5-percent majority stake of the Android operating system market share.
Android-flavored Froyo, Eclair and Ice Cream Sandwich also shows diminishing numbers in terms of active users as the trend move to newer versions as expected, these OS’s still holds relevant slice from the market share chart.
But don’t be surprised that there are still Donut and Honeycomb users out there —-which constitute to 0.1-percent of Android users. Now if you’re one of them, you really love Honey-glazed donuts.
